Today we left the chaos of India behind and headed into the land of communism! In India the streets are where life happens. It is here that people eat, sleep, run their businesses, sell their goods and live happy lives. There is no order, no organization and certainly no cleanliness! But despite the madness, the streets of India are fascinating and provide endless hours of entertainment! It is often hard to focus on one thing when walking the streets in India because there are so many things happening.

No Delhi Belly

Other than Fran, I don’t think that I have ever met or heard of anyone traveling to India without getting sick to some degree!  And because of this we were given hundreds of warnings about eating street food, drinking the water and overall hygiene for our visit.  For me the thought of getting ill was unsettling and Fran like always remained calm and assured me we would be fine so into India we went!

I have been to India 4 times now over the last 7 years, for approximately 4 months and I have never seen a McDonalds.  Now it’s no secret that every now and then we have ourselves a guilty pleasure and we dive in for a cheeky double cheese burger to calm the cravings for Beef.

Mehindi

I honestly don’t know what it is about traditional henna but I am in love with it!!  Perhaps I have secretly always wanted a tattoo but can’t possibly see myself liking something forever or maybe it is because it is so different from anything I have ever seen before but whatever it is I am obsessed!!
